1 Berkshire Lake Beauty: Classic Lakefront Family Home with Gorgeous views with Dock for Swimming, Sunning, Fishing and Non-Motor Boating – Available Year-Round!

Amenities: 4 bedrooms, 2 full baths – sleeps 10, Wifi, Flat screen tv with Direct TV,  dock, large deck with views and outdoor seating complete with gas grill, wood stove. No Smoking and pets are considered. Bring your kayak!

Spend your days and nights in a beautiful, natural, woodland setting with direct access to long pond: a quiet water refuge for swimming, fishing, hiking, and wildlife viewing. This classic, nicely rustic, Berkshire lakefront getaway will restore your sense of ease and remind you of earth’s natural beauty which is so abundant here.

As you enter the house you are greeted with floor to ceiling windows that allow a stunning view of the deck, trees and lake. The main floor consists of a large open A-frame space. The galley kitchen is just off the dining room which easily seats 10. There is additional seating at the kitchen bar counter. The great room is centered around the wood stove with plenty of seating, in easy gathering places for chatting, reading, playing a game, or watching tv on the flat screen (direct tv provided). There is a main floor guest room with double bed and full bathroom with tub/shower combination. Upstairs, with open views of the glass windows and dramatic views, has another full bed and a full futon which can be used as a sofa or bed. This is a great space for kids or teenagers. There is a lower level with two more bedrooms: a queen and a full that share another full bathroom with shower only.

Outside, you have the large open deck perfect for bird-watching, or catching a glimpse of a raccoon, squirrels, chip monks and even a fox or two! There is plenty of seating with a table and umbrella as well as a fire pit for roasting marshmallows, hotdogs, or open fire grill veggies!

The long winding steps take you down to the dock for sunning, swimming, fishing, floating, kayaking… etc. in summer (no motor boats though) and winter months provide ice fishing and skating – weather permitting, of course. There is a classic, perennial row boat provided for guests use but bring your kayak along for investigating the lake and its beauty.
