This sparkling 3BR/3BA home has been completely renovated in the style of a Scandinavian camp, with generous wraparound decks, expansive open-plan rooms clad in warm white wood, fieldstone fireplace and gourmet kitchen. The property features over 1000′ of river frontage and park-like grounds with not a neighbor in sight.
Inside, sunlight splashes everywhere through 80′ banks of architectural glass. The island kitchen is a cook’s dream, featuring top-of-the-line everything: 8-burner Viking range, Sub-Zero fridge, Miele d/w, Bulthaup cabinetry. Gorgeous English elm countertops and stainless Kohler sinks; espresso bar and recycling center. A pair of master bedrooms both function as suites, with king beds. The third bedroom is a flexible suite with king or two XL twins. All finishes are hotel-quality and new. The dining room features an iconic white-marble Saarinen table with collectible “Gaudi” armchairs, plus a mix of mid-century touches and the latest lighting/accessories. Textures run to imported French linen, high-thread count sheets, 800-gram Egyptian-cotton towelling.

Great Barrington, with world-class shopping and restaurants, is an 15 easy minutes through gorgeous farm-and-country scenery.
Rates: Summer rates: Available for August 2011 only – $12,000 per month, $3000/week.
Winter rates: $5000/month or $2000/week – weekends now available: $1500 for up to 3 nights (Friday pm – Monday AM)
