This quiet getaway provides a peaceful repose from the stresses of everyday living. Drive along a gentle country road that leads to the long driveway approach, past fields, woods, and other not-to-close neighbors dotted along the way. Nestled beside one of the prettiest babbling brooks and situated on 2 acres, this lovely 4+ bedroom / 3 ½ bathroom home is perfect for a family or a couple with plenty of room for visiting guests.
Inside there are two guest bedrooms on the main floor: One has full sized bed and shares a full bathroom (tub/shower combo) with the library which also has a brand new fold-out couch (for a weekend guest!) The library also has a brand new flat screen TV with basic cable. another guest room on the main floor is located at the other end of the house. It has a twin sized guest bed, with twin trundle and its own full bathroom with tub/ shower. The large galley style kitchen is open and bright with lovely views and has a separate but adjoined dining room with seating for eight. This room opens on to the Living room with wood-burning fireplace and plenty of comfortable seating. This room has French doors, which open onto a gorgeous terrace with outdoor seating and wonderful views… heaven!
Upstairs there are two more bedrooms on the second floor: the master bedroom has a Queen sized bed, a wood stove, lovely views of the Brook and landscape, and a nursery nook with currently is home to a crib! The master bedroom shares a full bathroom (T/S combo) with the 4th guest bedroom with 2 twins beds. This lovely large guest room has dormers and plenty of storage space for toys (currently so) or could the toys could be removed if necessary but this room easily doubles as a playroom.
Outside there is room for kids to run, build a snowman, look for frogs in the pond or fish… or just wade in to cool off! There is also a charming children outdoor playhouse. Quiet, Private… peaceful.
Rates: Summer season, 2012: $8000/month, or $2200/week – please inquire about pets! Rates are all-inclusive except for housekeeping during the rental stay. Ski winter 2013: $4000/month, or $15,000 for the season for Dec 1 – March 31. Heat utility cap will apply.
