It is pure luxury but designed with a family in mind. Step inside to light-filled open loft space artfully carved into delightful living areas. The fully exposed enormous two-sided fireplace opens to warm both the great room and the dining room / kitchen area – and even has a built-in pizza oven! The kitchen is open and ready to cook up something wonderful with a 6-burner Wolf gas range, subzero fridge with filtered water / icemaker, Bosch dishwasher – all in gleaming stainless. Steve, the property caretaker, also a catering chef, may be available to prepare dinner for you and have it waiting after your long trip out of the city. Step out of the dining area and you find yourself surrounded by special spaces… there is a space for games, a chess table, a breakfast room with French doors that open onto a garden stone courtyard with quiet, unrestricted views of the pool, swing set, shed and the Berkshires… a library space, a bar area, an office, cozy deep club chairs and sofas gather near the fireplace… there is also an indoor swing and a Steinway grand piano. The home is wired for sound with concert quality speakers, which work very well with the open ceilings. This home is an acoustic dream come true. There is a separate HDTV flat screen viewing room, the doors can be shut, the blinds pulled and you are off in another world entirely. A hallway leads to the laundry room, ½ bath, and entry into the home via the 2-car garage with auto-door openers. Up the stairs to the 1st floor are three bedrooms. The master suite has a king sized bed, and a sitting room with a sectional sofa and, of course, a fireplace. There is an HDTV with direct TV, and an enormous cedar-wrapped dressing room. The master bath is attached and has a soaking tub, two vanity sinks, and shower room for two with dual showerheads!! It’s wonderful… There is a quest room with a king bed and its own full bathroom with a tub/shower combination and a third guest bedroom with a twin bed and its own bathroom also with tub/shower combination. The homeowners are open to switching bed sizes out if requested. Step up to the next level and you will find yourself with views of the entire main floor. The catwalk is home to two office spaces, another sleep space with a full platform bed, a sitting/meditation area, and the coolest exercise bike. The gunite pool is fully fenced and has gorgeous views. The shed is just beyond the pool area. It houses a couple of Kayaks, outdoor equipment, and other outdoor items. There is a sturdy climber for children, a (fish-less?) pond, and the caretaker’s home just beyond the pond. Steve’s home is about a city block’s distance from the main house. Steve looks in regularly on the house and grounds and is available for maintenance and, as pointed out earlier, catering details! The rate is $25,000 per month or $45,000 for two months – all-inclusive with housekeeping one time per week during your stay.
