The owners, who in 1987 built this 2200 square foot home, have been meticulously maintaining this lovely property and have now opened it up for renters to enjoy! Sitting far back from a quiet country road, on five (5) acres, this property offers peaceful privacy while still being only 15 minutes to the center of Great Barrington.
The heated pool is fully fenced and has been maintained to perfection. The hot tub is covered and offered year round! Summer living has an easy indoor – outdoor flow and winter rentals provide an easy 10 mins drive to ski Butternut with a relaxing hot soak apres ski!
Inside you have three bedrooms all located on the 2nd floor: The large master suite has a king sized bed, flat screen TV, and a large luxurious bath with two sinks, vanity, platform tub – with Bose radio/CD player for total relaxation… separate shower, and wardrobe room. There is a double futon bed, in the wardrobe room just off the master, to be used for additional sleeping. There are two other cozy bedrooms – one with a queen bed and the third has twin bunk beds with home office. These bedrooms share a full bathroom with tub/shower. There is also a new sleep space: a sleeper sofa which will sleep either one adult or 2 children in the living room! the house now sleeps 10 comfortably! The ground floor also have a full bathroom with shower only – complete with washer / dryer!
There is a 2-car garage with direct entry into the kitchen. The bright open kitchen has high-end stainless appliances, including a 6 burner gas Viking range, over-sized Viking fridge, additional oven, and not one but two prep islands allowing plenty of space to prep, cook, or hang out and chat with the island bar which comfortably seats 4. There is a separate formal dining rooms with wood burning fireplace which seats 10 guests. The Living room is an easy open space with flat screen TV and comfortable seating.
The lawn area is expansive and easy for soccer, touch football or a quick pick-up baseball game! The heated pool is wonderful with decks and comfortable seating, the hot tub is covered from the sun, and the tiki bar prep station is so fun! Inside you have two small refrigerators, a prep area, sink, blender, microwave, and of course a CD player!
You are just 10 minutes to Ski Butternut and a quick 15 minutes ride to the center of Great Barrington.
You are also close to Canaan CT – just about 15 minutes.
The Berkshires offer so much for the vacationing traveler…. but with this lovely property, you may never want to leave the grounds!
Rates: Summer 2012 rates: $4000/week or $15,000/month, July and August months for $25K. Please inquire for full season discount. Winter 1012-2013: $4000/month, $11,500 for 3 months or 15K for the full season. Rates are all-inclusive except for housekeeping during the actual rental period.
