Located in the desirable neighborhood of Castle Hill and designed by the acclaimed architectural team of Jeff Miller and Alex Taylor, this unique, three split level, newly built, modern home is available year round. This stunning architectural home boasts green construction with bamboo flooring, and although the house is new, it was built with little to no formaldehyde. The main floor, the chef’s kitchen is roomy and well equipped with bar stools and a separate dining area with a Danish table with seating for up to 14. There is no air conditioning available for this lovely green-built home but the home was designed with this in mind and remains quite cool through the summer months.

A few steps down will take you to the sunken living room with lounge seating and a glass door that takes you out to the backyard. Cable or satellite TV is not offered but there is a flat screen TV with DVD player.

A few steps up will take you to the bedroom and bathroom corridor. There are three lovely bedrooms: the master suite has a king bed with full bathroom. The bathroom has a shower stall and separate tub. Two other delightful bedrooms, one with a queen sized bed and another with two twins: both with its own full bath bathroom. One has a tub/shower combo and the other a shower only. All the bed mattresses are made from natural organic latex and have cotton/wool covers.

There is an office on the next level up. The office also has a queen blow-up mattress, if needed. The lower level/basement is light and airy and has a delightful playroom with another glass door which takes you outside. There is an Stereo turntable with LPs for your use – fun! There is also a washer and dryer on this level. Once outside, there are two terraces – one off the kitchen dining room and another off the master. There is also a cedar play-set.

Lake Mansfield, which is Castle Hill’s favorite summer hang-out, is only 2 blocks from this marvelous home with: swimming, picnic tables, BBQ grills, children’s playground, fishing, kayaking and the ice cream man is known to come around most days. There is a sunny, sandy, beach with a lifeguard from MD – LD. You are also a short walk to downtown Great Barrington, home to shops, restaurants, galleries, cinema, and live theater. Great Barrington is only 10 minutes from Stockbridge, and just 20 from Lenox!
